About two months after Lamar Russ lost a unanimous decision to middleweight contender Matthew Macklin, Russ has announced that he will be leaving the 160-pound division behind in favor of the 154-pound weight class.

He is even kind of gangly at 160, 154 he will be a pretzel. I still consider him a decent prospect though. Dibella should get him more fights.

Despite not winning many rounds vs Macklin, I felt he showed some promise.

I also agree that his frame seems kind of big (long mainly) to fight at 154.
