Comments Thread For: Hughie Fury Discusses Career, Klitschkos, Tyson, More

Could the Fury cousins be poised to succeed the Brothers Klitschko as the dominant force in world heavyweight boxing, for the remainder of this decade?

Twenty five year old Tyson Fury is unbeaten in 21 and has already won a brace of world title eliminators yet many knowledgeable minds are selecting his 19 year old relative Hughie as his biggest threat to heavyweight hegemony.

A World Youth gold medallist in 2012, the lad they call ‘Fists of Fury’ racked up a dozen wins (seven stoppages) in his first 33 weeks as a paid prizefighter.

But unlike his gregarious cousin, young Hughie has been content to serve his apprenticeship off TV, deep into undercards and often on foreign climes. Already he has graced professional rings in six separate countries. [Click Here To Read More]

Hughie has talent but his inexperience shows. With no amateur fights except for the "youth" category, he'll need a lot of experience in the pros before taking on a top contender. I expect they'll keep him busy in 2014.

Klitschko avoiding Tyson Fury? I believe it's the other way around! I am getting sick of this who's ducking who. I sincerely hope that the Klitschko-Fury fight gets made by december 2014 or march 2015.
          they
Peter Fury said that Tyson has no interest in fighting Wilder yet and they say Klitschko is ducking them? Someone's need a reality rehab!

Pulev deserves the fight more IMO, Fury already had the spot for mandatory shot at IBF belt and wasted his opportunity. If Wlad is busy with other fights, Pulev should fight winner of Fury v Chisora and then Wlad for the IBF.

            Fights that should happen:
            Wlad v Pulev
            Wlad v Stiverne/Arreola
            Wlad/Pulev v Fury/Chisora
Wlad v Wilder if he remains undefeated

On the topic of Hughie Fury, he should fight Anthony Joshua sometime soon, that would be a great fight.

The central area title is vacant right now, so how about team Fury contacting the BBBofC to arrange a fight with Carl Baker, thus giving Hughie the chance of his 1st title?
