Last week, BoxingScene.com published an article where WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (27-0, 14KOs) made it known that he's ready to face Gennady Golovkin (29-0, 26KOs), the WBA/IBO champion at 160-pounds, at any time. But, he makes it clear that Golovkin and his team are in no hurry to step in the ring with him. Ward was offended that members of Golovkin's team are claiming the hard puncher is a bigger star.

What equal terms is he speaking of?? Golovkin is not a huge star and nor is Ward..But Ward is p4p#2 and the lineal champ at 168.If Golovkin wants a huge fight and to become a household name then go fight and defeat Ward simple and plain.

Andre Ward calls him on it

Team GGG says they aren't ready to move up (something along those lines)

Team GGG realizes that Ward calling them out makes them look like hypocrites. They respond by saying they GGG is the bigger star so Ward has to bow down in order to make a fight?


if any other boxer on the planet did this he'd be tore to shreds but Golovkin is seemingly immune to any criticism

Lol what in the fk? Hell no you are a star when after getting knocked the fk out HbO goes to CHINA for you to air your fight on frikking PPV against a guy who lost too. Hbo wouldn't even go to monaco, or even buy a feed and at least and have max nd roy talking **** that wouldn't have been so hard, but in the flip side Ward is no star either but he is the A side in this BIG TIME. If they don't recognize that they're just putting themselves out of the fight.
