Comments Thread For: Hatton: Khan Can Give Mayweather Big Headaches

Manchester superstar Ricky Hatton says countryman Amir Khan is capable of pulling off a huge upset on May 3rd against Floyd Mayweathr Jr. Khan is the frontrunner to face Mayweather for his WBC welterweight title at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Hatton, then undefeated, faced Mayweather is 2007 and was knocked out in ten rounds. Even though he gives Khan a chance, he picks Mayweather to pull through with his undefeated record intact.

He aint lying and you all know it.

id still prefer a big win at 147lbs first but even without it Khan can derail Mayweather.

Hatton is probably right, because usually people who talk alot about themselves excessively and have delusions of grandeur give everyone around them a headache. Personally everytime I hear him talk I get a headache.

Khan is a professional...and his record at welterweight is 0-0-0. He also got dropped by a washed up career lightweight at 143 pounds

Khan also has the dumbest fanboys in the history of everything.

Yes Ricky is right when he says that he picks Mayweather to win. As for the big win at 147 for Khan prior to fighting Floyd, GBP knows that the more they chase that big win the more likely it is Khan will get stretched out agin before he makes it to a Mayweather fight so it has to be now or never for Khan. They been trying to build that fight for years and bbc Khan kept losing so I guess they figure its better to come off of a bad win rather than another loss.

I like Hatton's assessment, but I think he meant Khan can match Mayweather in terms of speed NOT skill. It'll be exciting to see Floyd as the stalker for a change, but I don't think he'll have much problem with Khan. Khan doesn't have a varied enough arsenal to win against Floyd. He throws the same pitty pat punches for the entire fight. However, when he does go to the body he has success(like in the Maidana fight), so maybe that will be key here. Guess we'll see!

Why bother....you know a fight is ****ty when so many people are trying to convince the public it would be "interesting" the more they attempt it the more of a turd is confirmed to be.

The only headache Khan gives Floyd is the dismal ppv numbers when that $h!t flops.
