Comments Thread For: Luis Collazo is Open To Facing Keith Thurman Next

Golden Boy Promotions is interested in a potential fight between Keith Thurman (22-0, 22KOs), who holds the WBA's interim-welterweight title, and WBA International champion Luis Collazo (35-5, 18 KOs), who scored a sensational two round knockout of Victor Ortiz on Thursday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Thurman is scheduled to return at the end of April, which gives Collazo more than enough time to get ready if a deal comes together.

Wish Collazo would get a title shot then fight Thurman. I think he deserves to hold a belt even if it's for one fight.

Thurman isn't checking for Collazo. Im sure he want a bigger name in his next fight. If they do fight Thurman will be victorious. Some early close rounds then Thurman will take over and win by late TKO.

And I know about politics and all. But if it was Ortiz who would've won, there's no doubt in my mind he wouldve gotten the title shot.

Yep Maidana vs Ortrees rematch would have been an easy sell.

I would tell Oscar to go *** off..I think Thurman is a bit to much to handle for Collazo right now..

Good fight. Good test for Thurman.

He also said he's down for a Danny fight. Would be a great first fight at WW.

Thats cool,, neither guy has earned a big big payday fight, but this would be a great fight for both guys, especially thurman. Its a good learning experience for him vs a vet like collazo, and if thurman wins, he should def get a shot at maidana or porter...

I could also see a collazo-brook happening as well
