Comments Thread For: Corley on Move to 135, Wants to be a Golden Boy Fighter

DeMarcus “Chop Chop” Corley will be turning 40 in June, but he doesn’t seem to be inclined toward hanging up his gloves just yet.

While Corley says he could be facing lightweight John Molina on the March 21 episode of ESPN2’s “Friday Night Fights,” Molina informs BoxingScene.com that there is no bout with Corley in the works and that he is seeking opportunities other than a bout with Corley.

    Nowadays everyone thinks they're Hopkins.

Hopkins is a bad role model for older fighters.

I can't criticize someone for pursuing what they want. I wish him the best of luck even though it is a dangerous endeavor in an unforgiving field.

He beat Pelos Garcia's ass so he still has something in him (not like Pelos is a top fighter or anything alike but he is a decent young fighter).

Chop Chop had 14 kids to support when he fought Mayweather. I can't imagine how many he has now. Still one of my all time favorites though.

HUGE chop chop fan. Man has fought everyone, literally.

That win over Bracero 2 years back put new life into him.

This is absurd!! He has lost 9 out of his last 12 fights. No one is going to promote him, let alone a major promoter. It's been over since 2006 when he become a gatekeeper.

                Dear Matchmakers:

Please do not sign this born loser to a fight. Only thing he needs to be signed up for is a vasectomy. If he keeps fighting to support his million kids, he will end up both broke and brain dead. May as well save your brain, take the broke and call it a day.
