Comments Thread For: Dereck Chisora Now Faces Kevin Johnson On 2/15 Copper Box Bill

Heavyweight contender Dereck Chisora has a new opponent for his February 15 headliner at Copper Box Arena in London, England. The headline-generating Brit will face American heavyweight Kevin Johnson, whose place on the show was confirmed Monday morning by Queensberry Promotions.

Johnson steps in for original opponent Andriy Rudenko, who was forced to withdraw earlier in the month due to injury. The American is coming off of a one-sided loss to Christian Hammer last December, delivering a lethargic performance that has become customary in his career spent as a frontrunner.

Chisora (19-4, 13KO) has won four straight, all coming in a tremendous bounce back 2013 campaign following a disastrous stretch in his career which included frequent losses, hefty fines and a near exit from the sport. The career turnaround comes at a perfect time, with the February 15 show designed to set up a future opportunity to reverse one of his four losses. [Click Here To Read More]

Kevin Johnson is a joke. Chisora shouldn't have any problems with him at all.

Hopefully Johnson puts in a little more effort than he did in the Fury fight. That was awful.

I hope the British ref stops the fight early when Johnson doesn't throw.

Chisora will win by early referee stoppage.

Johnson will take several punches on his gloves, and then the referee will wave off the fight. Johnson will stare in bewilderment, and his trainer will be livid.

I hope Chisora is the first to stop Johnson - legitimately of course.

Which I think he will do.

I can smell an upset in this one. Chisora should win, but Johnson can be a very awkward customer.

I think he's crap all the way through.

Throws an embarrassing amount of punches vs subpar opposition. Del Boy will punish that body into submission. He hasn't really met anyone who will do a body job on him like Chisora will.
