Comments Thread For: Charlo-Rosado - BoxingScene.com's Staff Predictions

An unbeaten fighter entering the prime of his career is paired with a grizzled ring veteran with multiple losses and who hasn’t won a fight in a well over a year.

Normally, the aforementioned formula is standard practice in developing a fighter. Yet there is nothing predictable about tonight’s pairing between rising contender Jermell Charlo and Philly ****er Gabriel Rosado. The two collide at the (Washington) D.C. Armory in a scheduled 10-round super welterweight attraction, serving as the chief support to hometown favorite Lamont Peterson in a dangerous 140 lb. title defense versus unbeaten Dierry Jean.

I'm suprised on how many think Charlo will win.

Gabe is going to beat him. He isn't tested whereas Gabriel is. Operation Chop Down Charlo!

What made me lean toward charlo is rosado coming off of two tough losses against quillin and ggg

Also he lost a narrow decision to a similar ko percentage guy 'Jleon Love before it was overturned..

Can see the fight being a close pts type of win for Charlo

That's the key Gabe has to be active. He let round slip away against Love because he wouldn't let his hand go. Rosado will have to get around Charlo&s jab and stay busy. I'm still not sure who to pick. It will be tough for Rosado to get the decision if the fight is close.

I'm not impressed by Charlo, but I'm taking him vs a "fading" Rosado...

yea, i can see charlo winning but im gonna rock with rosado. lets see. i saw charlos whole fight vs demetruis so maybe that is influencing my choice because lets be honest, no-one looks good vs demetrius hopkins. rosado isnt gonna be moving like hopkins did. charlo can outbox rosado.

lol, his brother goes ham in this interview.

Rosado had gotten jipped in the Quillin fight, Quillin new that, you can see that shook expression on his face in the mid- later rounds Rosado by Decision. Good learning fight for the younger lad.

Operation Chop Down Charlo vs. Operation Retire Rosado, this will probably be the best fight of the night.
