Carl Froch claims domestic rival George Groves has rejected the chance to sign up for a rematch - despite a seven-figure offer.

The two were involved in a classic IBF super-middleweight title fight in November which ultimately culminated in Froch retaining his belt via a controversial ninth-round stoppage.

Londoner Groves, 25, has since launched an appeal against the decision taken by referee Howard Foster Jr and joined countless fight fans in calling on the veteran Froch to agree to face him again.

If the challenger turns down the fight what can the governing body do?

Seriously why would you blame a champion if a fight doesn't go ahead if the loser of the first fight refuses the match with an oferf double the one he got for the first fight.

If the IBF try and follow through on that they'll be a laughing stock.

The bloke above is 100% correct, George Groves & Eddie Hearn have confirmed it on Twitter. If the fight doesn't happen, Froch has to vacate his IBF title.

Groves will get 25% of the purse or more now, so here's why he "declined" the first offer.
