He showed the kind of footwork and hand-speed lacking from Corrales. The biggest misconception about Corrales is that he is a talented boxer, but I don't see it. Trinidad was also very accurate with his shots, both guys have good left hooks but Trinidad did not waste anything. I admire fighters that don't throw anything that is not worth throwing.
don't only go by one or two fights of that fighter.
better boxer not brawler
now don't get me wrong. TRinidad is my all time favorite fighter. I myself felt that tito could have did much better than he showed vs winky but what if Corrales fought someone like winky wright at his weight class of 135. Would corrales lose as badly?

yeah I think Corrales would have little trouble beating someone who fights like Wright at his weight.
His handspeed is superior, he would volume power punch, and cut the ring off. I believe he would be too much.
Of course Wright would beat him in an actual fight...because he is so much physically bigger.
I think I might have misunderstood the question of your thread. I believe you are discussing boxing ability as opposed to who is actually "better".
"boxing" wise.....I'd say Trinidad is still better than Corrales though....because he is more technical.
He of course is the better fighter so that is why I voted for him as well.
You have to ask yourself who really has beaten Wright convincingly? Nobody really. Clearly, a puncher's chance doesn't mean much against Wright, his defense is too good and he's too consistent and accurate with his jab and straight shots. I'd like to see De La Hoya have a crack at Wright and I think that is one of only two possibilities for De La Hoya after he picks up his world ttile from Mayorga.
I don't understand how people can pick Tito, but boxing has always been the most subjective sport around.
While neither is a PBF by any measure, I've always seen Tito just plodding forward with little footwork, and no noticible upper body movement.
Chico is no dancer either, but he always has good upper body movement when he's in boxing mode.
chico cant box, like someone said earlier he doesnt have a chin just heart and power, he will go forward and forward and get popped and KD as many times as he can just so long as he can get ya, and he did knock castilo out so if he does get ya your gone, jlc is a tough mofo but deigo took him out he can do it to anyone from feather to lightweight maybe some light welters
tito can box somewhat it may be 5000x of chicos but that aint saying much lmao
