Comments Thread For: Juan Manuel Marquez Eyes Potential Return in May

Former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez (55-7-1, 40KOs), 40-years-old, could return on a date in May, according to the boxer himself. Marquez was last in the ring in October, when he lost a twelve round split decision to WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Marquez would like to get a rematch with Bradley, but Bradley may enter into a rematch with Manny Pacquiao on April 12th.

that would be a huge event and i would support it 100% ... also would be a crazy twist is manny-jmm decided to fight on cinco de mayo weekend that would kill any plans for mayweather and he would be forced to move his date or call up alvarez for a rematch

It'll be good to see Floyd not cheat Juan on the scales again

Mayweather-Marquez 2 would be one of the most pointless rematches in history.

Agreed. Love both fighters, but it's already happened and nothing about the first one made me believe any rematch would be any different.

I don't think Mayweather vs. Marquez II is very likely. I think Floyd would take a lot of heat for fighting someone coming off of a loss. If Floyd was going to fight Marquez again, it would've been right after Marquez knocked out Pacquiao.
