Jean Pascal carried what action there was in the fight, landing an avg. of 16 of 37 punches per round. The tentative Lucian Bute avg'd 28 punches thrown per round (10 landed) thru eleven rounds before sniffing the finish line and throwing 98 punches in round twelve. 29% of Bute's landed punches came in the last round. His previous high for the fight was 19 landed- in round eleven.

If Bute wasnt terrified for his life to get hit he could have worn Pascal down in

Bute played the waiting game, looking for Pascal to make mistakes. Wrong type of fight--he's not Bernard Hopkins. Bute had to apply constant pressure and wear Pascal down. Pascal let him take free shots at the end in a poor effort to make Bute look deserving of a rematch. Pascal knows he'd whoop that ass again and make easy money.

Pitiful performance by both fighters, Pascal won off of fighting 20 seconds a rd because Bute did nothing of note until rd 11, really poor fight if you hadn't seen it I wouldn't bother.
