  • Comments Thread For: Cleverly Pushes Back His Return For Third Time

According to a report on Wales Online, Nathan Cleverly has withdrawn for the third time in the last few months. Cleverly, set to make his cruiserweight debut, has pushed back two return dates, set for November and February 1. Promoter Frank Warren announced that Cleverly would return on March 1 in Liverpool, but the former WBO light heavyweight champion says he won't be physically ready in time. Cleverly was last seen in August, when he was stopped in four rounds by Sergey Kovalev. [Click Here To Read More]

Kovalev stopped him in 3 rounds, it's not like he got beat up.

My guess is that he's having second thoughts about Cruiserweight and can't carry the weight properly. It always seemed like a ****** move to me. He should have worked his way to a mandatory shot at Shumenov or Hopkins at LHW.

Remember when joe got a reputation for the same thing thing. He was called sick note joe for a while,

The Kov fight knocked all the confidence out of Clev and now it looks like he doesn't want to fight anymore

Cleverly should have just taken some time of boxing instead of having to go through 3 consecutive fight cancellations.

He'll be staying at LHW i bet. Good idea if he's gonna have any success.
