  • Comments Thread For: Yoan Pablo Hernandez-Pawel Kolodziej Set For March 8

World cruiserweight champion Yoan Pablo Hernandez will make the fourth defense of his lineal crown versus unbeaten Pawel Kolodziej on March 8 at Max Schmelling Halle in Berlin, Germany.

The bout will mark Hernandez’ first ring appearance of 2014, and second fight since returning to the ring last November following a lengthy absence while healing an assortment of injuries.

“Since becoming a world champion, Pablo exclusively had to fight the top-rated contenders of the IBF,” Uli Wegner, Hernandez’ head trainer said of his fighter, who has made three consecutive mandatory title defenses of the alphabet belt he also carries in tow. “With Kolodziej, you can number four to that list (of tough challenges).” [Click Here To Read More]

Pablo is very good, but the cruiserweight division isn't very glamorous. Not too many fans seem to follow it.

Sounds like a decent challenger for Yoan. Hopefully we can see him in unification bouts this year, especially against Huck.

Huck is the fight I'm waiting for.

There's plenty of talent at cruiserweight.

It lacks American media attention and televised fights, but it's as popular as the other divisions in Europe.

Pawel Kolodziej is very ordinary despite his record. He has no chance of winning against Hernandez.

              I'l like to see Hernandez-Wlodarczyk.

Yes, plenty of talent. I'm aware that cruiserweight is popular in Europe. I suppose I was thinking in American terms. Sorry for not making that clear.

Kolodziej seens to adjust to his opponent level, when he is fighting bums he looks like a bum himself. I dont see him beating Hernandez tho, I`m not impressed with either guy tbh, I though Cunnigham was robbed cleary the first fight and was doing pretty well the second(except the knockdown rounds), Ross had a lot of succes as well.

Hernandez - Huck wont happen bcs they are the only guys keeping Sauerland relevant, neither will they fight Wlodarczyk(who imo shats on both).

The Wlodarczyk vs Russia storyline seems to be more entertaining.
