Nicaraguan champion Román “Chocolatico” Gonzalez made official that he is vacating the World Boxing Association light flyweight 'super champion' title.

Chocolatico González sent a letter explaining that this decision obeys to his desire to win a third title belt in the Flyweight division.

Thank you, Chocolatito! It's ridiculous that he hasn't fought in the Light Flyweight division in over a year but has still had the "Super" World Title the whole time.

During that time Kazuto Ioka could have fought for the "Super" World Title. Ioka might be moving up to Flyweight also so it might be too late.

If Ioka doesn't move up to Flyweight yet maybe he'll be elevated to "Super" Champion and make one defense.

If Ioka does move up to Flyweight I would love to see Alberto Rossel (#1 ranked contender) vs. Naoya Inoue (#3 ranked contender) for the W.B.A. Light Flyweight Title. I'm a big fan of both of them.

If Alberto Rossel wins he could become the first Peruvian World Champion. He is already considered the first Peruvian World Champion, but he only has the "Interim" Title, which I don't consider legit.

The W.B.A. is a joke with all of their titles.

Yes, the WBA is a ridiculous organization. Gonzales holding a title in a division in which he hasn't fought for more than a year is a good proof of it. I hope a rematch with Estrada (at the actual weight of "gallito" rather than taking him down to a lower division) materializes soon.

It's crazy that they let him keep it even though he's been in flyweight for a while....then again...these guys are crooked.
Funny they just said they wanted to give more people shots
