  • Comments Thread For: Jorge Arce Wants Two More Fights After March Return

As previously reported, former five time world champion, Jorge Arce will be fighting again on March 8th, and Jackie Nava will be battling on the same card.

Not really the shy retiring type, and as impetous as ever, Travieso quipped: "I’d love to have fought for a title, but all of the champions are busy. No matter! I'll try to conquer another title very soon!” [Click Here To Read More]

I just changed my avi to a Jorge Arce pic the other day, ha. Travieso should take an easy fight in March, then fight a fringe contender after that, and if he passes those tests then he should go for a title at 126 if he wants to.

If Abner Mares beats Jhonny Gonzalez in their rematch I would love to see Mares vs. Arce. Mares deserves a lighter touch after all the tough fights he's had, and Arce would get his title opportunity. I don't think Arce has a chance against Mares, but at least he'd be passing the torch to a fellow Mexican warrior.

If Orlando Salido beats Vasyl Lomachenko on March 1st I'm sure he wouldn't mind fighting Arce. Again, I don't think Arce has a chance against Salido, but at least he'd get retired by a fellow Mexican warrior.

Another option is Evgeny Gradovich. This is probably the most winnable title fight for Arce, but I'd still favor Gradovich. I think Arce vs. Gradovich would be a pretty good fight though. I'm sure Gradovich wouldn't mind having the opportunity to add a name like Arce's to his resume.
