Former WBC lightweight champion Antonio DeMarco (30-3-1, 23KOs) continued the road back, with a second round drilling of Jesus Gurrola (20-6) at the Casino Hipodromo Agua Caliente in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach was working with DeMarco, as Juan Manuel Marquez was watching from ringside. DeMarco gets his second victory since a TKO defeat to Adrien Broner. Looking forward to seeing more of Antonio DeMarco he always comes to fight and leaves everything in the ring. It's going to be interesting to see how he does at junior welterweight which in my opinion will suit him better then lightweight because he was looking too dehydrated for the weight so I think he will be stronger now. Would like to see him fight some good names and earn a world title shot at 140 this year.

it would be nice to see him fight the winner of peterson-jean or ruslan but has he earned a title shot yet the guy just moved up into that weight class

Yea those would be great fights but since he barely moved up I would like to see him fight someone solid or a couple of solid first before fighting for a junior welterweight title. Maybe the likes of Pablo Cesar Cano, Jessie Vargas, and or Josesito Lopez if Josesito were to go back to 140, then go for the Peterson-Jean winner, Ruslan, or even Dany Garcia. I think it can be done this year if he stays busy.

Very good performance with a terrific right hook in the first round to close with a straight left hand in the second;i had the sensation he was fighting at 30% of his possibilities looking only to land some good combos;good fighter indeed!!!
