Comments Thread For: Photos: Pascal, Bute Within Seven Day Weight Limits

The countdown has begun and there are only seven days before the historic duel between Jean Pascal Lucian Bute. As required by the regulations of the WBC, both boxers weighed in today - a week before their light heavyweght fight. At 11 am as planned, Bute came on the scale at a weight of 180.4 lbs.

"This is not a problem for me to make weight. My preparation went as it should and I am very happy," said Bute, who unlike his other camps stayed in Montreal. "It is true that I missed the Florida sun. I missed it, but here I worked hard and I'm ready to get in the ring."

So you're saying if you lose to old man hopkins, you should retire? If that's the case, 95% of the boxers we know would retire. Hop is still one of the best and there's no shame in losing to him

Yeah, looks like he turned into and nice 175 pounder. I still pick Pascal to win by KO.

I got JP to win too. Almost everything favours him, and he's also been working with Heredia.

I'll go against the grain and pick Bute for the win.

Pascal is big, strong, hits hard and pretty fast. Ye he lost to Hopkins but Hopkins is still a terrific fighter and both fighters were damn close. I wouldn't mind a trilogy fight tbh.

Bute is done, in his last fight he looked mentally shot, done, Froch buried him, no matter what kind of shape he comes in, Pascal will finish off what's left behind.
