I can't believe that Zahir Raheem is still around

I remember first seeing him on ESPN FNF a decade ago, landing with a helicopter on the rooftop of the arena if I remember correctly. He was a hot prospect at that time.

And look at him now, still fighting on FNF.

There was talk of him fighting Pacquiao at one time. Last fight I saw of him was when he got KTFO by that tall African guy, Funeka. I wanted to see Valero against Funeka.

He boxed the **** out of Eric Morales right after Morales defeated Pacquiao. The same Morales who way past his prime almost defeated Maidana.

Raheem was another very good boxer who had potential but wasn't exciting enough, therefore every loss he took set him back and made him more inactive, which hurt him. He basically defeated Rocky Juarez but was pulling his head down one too many times with a over-involved Ref who took two points from him for holding, (I believe) and threatened to DQ him, which got in his head. And he still did enough to win on points if I remember correctly. That was the beginning of the end. The fight against Freitas was a cross-roads match and Freitas lived to fight another day winning a narrow points decision.

It looks like he can still box pretty good and doesn't look too washed up since he might have taken care of himself during the inactivity. If he can manage to stay busy, he just might have one last hurrah.

Raheem was part of the Olympic team with Floyd and was part of one of the biggest legacy changes in the history of the sport which is Manny Pacquaio. Look, I think Pac was a great fighter but some of his wins and even moreso, the credit he got for those wins were a joke.

Morales beats Pac. In his next fight EM loses literally every round to Raheem and none were close. It was a clinic. Somehow this earned the right for him to get a another fight with Pac immediatly. Pac wins and everyone goes crazy when it was clear that EM wasnt the same fighter. Not only that but they actaully allow them to have an immediate trilogy in which Pac wins by KO again and everyone goes crazy like Pac is the best ever.

They truly acted like the Raheem fight never even happened. How can Pac be allowed to have 2 fights with EM after he just got shutout by Raheem and then get mad credit for it? He literally got shutout by Raheem and his next 2 fights were against Pac. No one gave a care about the Raheem fight but acted like Pac was Superman for those wins. Its a jokke
