  • Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury Signs With Frank Warren, Returns Feb. 15

BoxingScene.com can confirm that Tyson Fury has signed a promotional deal with Frank Warren and will appear on Warren's February 15th bill at London's Copper Box Arena. Fury, 21-0 (15), shares a place on the bill with former foe Dereck Chisora, 19-4 (13) — he beat "Del Boy" on points in 2011 to net the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles — and the two are likely to be guided towards a possible Summer rematch. So I guess the Chisora rematch is a sure thing now. ******, it was a good fight, but Fury has absolutely no reason to rematch him, he already uncontroversially beat him. I'd rather see him fight Adamek, Wilder, Browne, Hammer etc, i.e. new people he hasn't already fought to get a better sense of how good he is.

It's a European title fight which guarantees a high world ranking, could even be a world title eliminator - good enough reason for Fury to take the fight.

          ^^^ This.

It is also a very intriguing fight because Chisora came into the first fight looking like Mr. Blobby and still posed Fury problems in an exciting fight. I would definitely watch a second fight.

My thoughts too regarding Chisora,Browne especially.but tbf this deal likely boosts the chances of us seeing Wilder and Fury too with Warren's close ties to Showtime and the Golden Boy card fighters,Sauerland too I suppose with Warren's output agreements with both promoters for his channel.

Old Mick and channel 5 just don't have enough power to hold on to fighters nowadays! I'd fancy Fury in the rematch against Chisora every day of the week! Fury is always in fighting shape nowadays after teaming up with Peter Fury. Chisora is the most unprofessional professional boxer in the sport and most of the time enters the ring looking like a yorkshire pudding!

The EBU title gets you a guaranteed top 10 with WBC but Fury is already number 7 and has fought eliminators upon eliminators. So its an irrelevant fight considering you're emphasizing on the EBU title as well Fury is ahead of Chisora but its still a good for the sake of a good scrap.

Lets hope James Degale learns from this and goes on with Eddie Hearn or States.

                  A new trainer too actually.

He was in great shape in his last 3 fights so what the hell are you talking about? Hes taking it serious now! The rematch makes sence because Chisora will be in much better shape. I pick Chisora to win this. Fury was knocked down by Cunningham man!!
