Alex Leapai is close to a deal to fight unified world heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko for the world heavyweight title on April 26 in Germany.

'Lionheart' Leapai earned his shot at Klitschko's IBF, WBA and WBO belts when he ended the unbeaten run of Denis Boytsov over 10 rounds in Bamberg last November.

But the 34-year-old's training has been hampered by a calf injury picked up in the victory.

    This makes me sick...
The guy loses to Kevin Johnson who lost to Tyson fury, beats one semi-upcoming guy and now he gets a title shot!?

Wlad can't manage to fight until April 26th? Absolutely ridiculous. Guess he will only be fighting twice this year.

As long as it's refereed fairly, don't want to see Wlad hugging and holding all night.

It's not going to be all night. This doesn't go past 5.

There is never fair refereeing in a Wlad fight.

I hope Wladimir makes short work of him, like he did with Ray Austin.
