Comments Thread For: Hunter: Amir Khan's Speed Can Throw Mayweather Off

Trainer Virgil Hunter is confident that Amir Khan's speed will create some problems for Floyd Mayweather Jr. (45-0, 26KOs) - if a fight is finalized between the two boxers. Khan (28-3, 19KOs) revealed on Monday that he signed his end of the contract to face Mayweather on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather has yet to sign his end of the agreement, but all of the signs are point to a showdown with Khan.

Yes Amir Khan probably talks faster than anyone Floyd has faced. He will likely hit the mat faster than anyone Floyd has ever face too.

Khan does have speed. His problem is he's a different fighter when he gets tired or when he gets hurt. One thing is if he does land the fight we should expect Khan to of trained harder than he ever has before.

Its clear Hunter has zero confidence in Khans ability to win the fight. Amir needs to smarten up and crawl back to Roach if he wants to win this fight. All the answers are in Maidana-Broner. With roach Amir wins. With Hunter he gets outboxed 12 rounds

Hunter just wants to get paid. Khan has absolutely no chance to make this fight competitive.

Yes, the speed may trouble Floyd initially. We'll see him compensate and when he does it will be hairy for Khan to say the least.
