Comments Thread For: Lucas Browne Responds To Tyson Fury Challenge

Heavy-handed Aussie contender Lucas "Big Daddy" Browne is happy to step up to the challenge offered by Tyson Fury on Twitter.

The giant Englishman recently used the micro blogging site to set out the names on his wish list for 2014.

Browne was mentioned alongside Deontay Wilder, Dereck Chisora and Roy Jones Jnr and say he would gladly accept if the fight was offered to him.

Fury was due to face David Haye in a massive all-British encounter, but that fight now seems dead in the water due to the Hayemaker's career hanging in the balance following a serious shoulder injury.

Browne, 19-0 (17 KOs), said: "All I can say is that his team should contact my promoter, Ricky Hatton, and I'll sign the contract tomorrow. The fans want to see this fight and I think it will be a war.

"He's stated he's having a warm up fight in February. I'm in one corner to box for the Commonwealth title in early 2014. After that, I think we should fight each other.

"I promise Tyson that unlike David Haye, I'll definitely turn up on fight night!" [Click Here To Read More]

Tyson Fury will get knocked out. Lucas Browne hits much harder than anyone Fury has fought so far. This is definitely a fight that boxing fans from all over the world would want to see.

      Very much doubt it.

Boxing is not just about "hitting hard" - Can't compare Fury to Browne's best win - Towers.

Its difficult for Browne being in Australia. He'd be better matched if he was in Europe.

Browne gives Fury hell, IMO. Would be a good match-up.

Yeah, but he's now being promoted by Hatton isn't he? Should lead him to some decent fights.

I don't think so at all. From what I've seen, which isn't much, he's a limited boxer with a big punch. Fury would dance circles around him. Of course if he starts to engage, there's always the chance for a KO - but I think Fury would win.

That's all one might need vs Fury tbh...

Meaning? If asked, Browne would be unable to even punch himself in the mouth?

You HAVE to love tht gumption of Fury though for calling out 4 names that could legitimately give him trouble or beat him. I know a lot of people don't like Fury because of his mouth, but I am starting to become one of the fans who likes him for his nuts. Seems like he would fight anyone anytime under any circumstance. Gotta respect that out of a fighter in the modern era.

this fight is all wrong for Fury, Browne hits very hard and fury's chin isn't the best. a chisora rematch or a price fight suits him better, is a bigger pay day and sets him up for a world title shot.

But what kind of state of mind is fury in now after the year he's had?
