Italian former world champion boxer Loris Stecca was placed under investigation Friday for attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a woman he runs a Rimini gym with.

The unnamed woman called police Friday morning saying Stecca pushed her down the stairs in the gym but then told them the argument was over. In the afternoon he allegedly stabbed her.

Sad to hear. The near suicide, pushing her down stairs, complied with the officers when they arrived, only to stab her later.. Seems like he want's to be saved from himself.

LORIS STECCA, was a damn tough warrior in the ring;he made CRUZ quit and he was only 23y. He fought ever wars in the ring and the fights with CALLEJAS were great wars too. Only two losses,those two fights with CALLEJAS;go and watch what a devastating left hook CALLEJAS landed to LORIS in the rematch and LORIS get up and wanted continue with broken jaw and almost a leg broken. He was near to another title shot,very close to the title fight when a car destroyed his knee during a run of his training,the most irritating thing is that he never recived the money from the assurance of the car;SAD STORY AND MANY INJUSTICES THAT LORIS HAD AGAINST.
MAURIZIO STECCA won the gold medal at the olympics,european champion and the WBO featherweight world title,but the version of the WBO was the inaugural so at that time WBO wasn't like now.He won that twice anyway,if he had fought Jorge Paez and beat him,he would have been considered one of the best featherweight at that time but he is not with his opponents' record. LORIS instead beat the best for his WBA world title beating LEONARDO CRUZ(brother of CARLOS TEO CRUZ),who knows LORIS knows that he isn't the smartest man in the world but we have to say that he suffered many injustices really!!!
