Which is the bigger bout at this moment: Ward-GGG or Mayweather-Pacquiao?

Mayweather-Pacquiao was at it's frenzied peak back in late 2009/2010, but it still seems like it won't be made. Ward against Golovkin looks like it could definitely happen, maybe in 2015.

I think as of now Ward-Golovkin would be a bigger fight than than Mayweather-Pacman. Not that i'm saying I reckon Ward-GGG could do 3 million PPV's like Mayweather-Pacman coulda done, but based upon what could happen in the ring and how intruiging it would be.

Ward is the undisputed king at 168, he is beating his opponents unanimously like Mayweather and Rigondeaux. I don't see any challenger for him at all 168, bar Stevenson coming back down. Golovkin looks like he'd beat anyone at 160lbs, which I am very sure he would. He looks damn invincible. This is why I think Ward-Golovkin at 168lbs would be bigger than Mayweather-Pacquiao now.

      Mayweather Pacquiao does 2mil+ PPV

Ward vs Golovkin does 1.2 mil viewers on regular TV with the majority of viewers for Triple G.

Ward's drawing power is a joke.

Pac vs Money is the bigger draw even if they are past their prime, it's like Tyson vs Lewis back in the day

Ward-Golovkin could be a pretty big fight next year or the year after if both guys keep winning, but come on. Mayweather-Pacquiao is still the biggest event in the sport.

Agreed. Someone with Ward skill is hard to sell because it's so dominant especially when he is only fighting once a year or twice like he is headlining PPVs.

Mayweather and Pacquiao fought many times a year before they got recognition by the mainstream to be able to headline and fight once or twice a year.

Ward is now in his thirties, he needs to be more active even though he cleaned out his division, he can give unknowns in his weightclass a chance, get some brutal knockouts to create buzz or keep winning to attract lovers and haters. His persona I will say have improved to more blunt and honest which can rub a lot of people the wrong way.

                  From my first post:

I'm not talking about PPV numbers strictly, i'm talking about the quality of the actual fight. Which would be the better fight.

Mayweather-Pacquiao and it's not even close. Mayweather-Pacquiao may not be as big as it once was but it's still a huge money maker.
