WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana came home to Argentina and received a hero's welcome from his countryman. Maidana became a sensation last Saturday night in San Antonio, when he defeated the heavily favored Adrien Broner to capture the welterweight crown.

Maidana scored two knockdowns, hurt Broner numerous times and controlled most of the action. All three judges scored the fight in his favor.

lol it's hilarious how Broner is just a joke now. Like most have said, once his 0 was gone, he has nothing now. He can't talk & act the way he did anymore after getting brutally beaten on Saturday. He can't claim to be the next Mayweather anymore, and he got exposed really bad. I can't lie & say Broner has no talent, he does, but he's not an elite fighter. He's on the level of someone like Berto, where he's a tier or two below the elite guys.
