Mijares now hopes to secure a mandatory shot at the WBC super bantamweight champion Leo Santa Cruz in 2014.

In the co-feature, Daniel 'Tremendous' Estrada (32-2-1, 24KOs) scored a technical knockout victory at 48 seconds of the third round over Hugo Armenta (10-8, 7KOs).
