This is how I see 126

    Salido
    Gonzalez
    Mares
    Vetyenka
    Gradovich

It was hard to decide between Salido and Jhonny but when I thought about if they faced each other now who should win. And Even though Gonzalez is the better boxer Salido chin is still pretty sturdy and I think that fight come down o who take the better punch. Gonzalez looked great in hisses fight but it was only one round and Mares never even got the chance to hit Jhonny. Once Gonzalez gets hit with something big it usually things usually fall apart for him.

Castellanos is also a very solid featherweight and is supposed to be the mandatory to the winner of Gonzalez Mares II. Fortuna deserves a mention but his resume is a but thin IMO. Also a side not I thought it was hilarious that boxrec had Donaire rate as #1 at 126.
That's ridiculous having Donaire at #1 when he hasn't even fought a featherweight yet.

If the old vets can pull out upsets in their next fights that would set up a big unification fight between them.

Honestly i have no idea,, this division is up for grabs...

donaire isnt proven at this weight and has looked bad his last 2 outings..

Gary russell jr only fight TBA or TBD

Salido is the known guy with the longest track record, but his best days are behind him

      gradovich is still unproven

lomochenko has one fight,, so jury is still out

This whole division is wide open in my eyes,, be interesting to see how it all shapes up

the top ranked FW in teh world right now is gonzales, off of his win over mares. i don't think he's the best FW in the world in the sense that i think he should be favored over all others at FW.

i think rigondeaux would beat everybody in the world under 130 lbs. i'm not sure if that answers your question, but given the rest of the post, that part was already covered.

i can;t be sold on lomachenko just yet. i'm about ready to pull the trigger, though. the kid looks like the goods. unlike most prospects, his first win really proved something as well, as that guy had been in with contenders and never stopped.

i'm at the point where i'm done even considering russel jr. that kid has been ready for a while, and he's never stepped up. it's not like he's still learning. i thikn it's his hands. if you have paper machet hands you can't fight.

i feel the same way, i do hold out hope for him, because look at roy jones, he didnt step it up till 5 plus years in the game, russell is right at that point..

from 88-93 roy didnt fight the big fights,, he just started at 92 to have quality fights, russell is about a year over due 08-13 but i still hold out hope..

but honestly, im not in the gym watching him spar, and something tells me he doesnt do good in sparring vs top guys, and his handlers know this, so that is why he has been pushed at a snail's pace,,,

Johnny Gonzalez has the most legit win at the moment, so he's the best FW right now.

To me Lomachenko beats everybody on that list.

I guessed wrong. lol. Still no closure but the division seems to be heating up.

I think Loma is going to beat Russell Jr. handily. After that I think if Loma and Gonzalez fought that would determine #1. For now, Gonzalez is #1 no questions asked.

I'll keep Donaire at #2, he should rematch Vetyeka but I think he was on his way to a stoppage anyways. He should fight Walters, it would show that Donaire still wants to be here.

Absolutely no one at this moment Donaire holds a decent win over a decent level opponents, Gonzalez got that surprise Mares win, Walters looks ok, Salido ever entertaining, Loma is a talent...I just cant decide.
