This is another tragedy in recent times to befall a ring warrior. Very to sad to hear this type of news and anything remotely close as it affects everyone.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Jauregui family and everyone associated with him.

100s of professional rounds... 70+ fights... 1000s of rounds of sparring... Close to or above a million punches taken... Excellent chin... World class opposition... He probably continued to spar after retiring from the professional ranks.

Condolences to Javier Jaurgeui's family and friends...

                Ah man this sucks, R.I.P.

This guy has a KO victory over Jose Luis Castillo. He was a warrior in that ring.

A stroke at 40? I thought boxers are pretty healthy for the most part because of the rigorous training .

                  Sad news....rip.

He shouldn't have been fighting something is definitely wrong in boxing there are guys getting brain damage, strokes and comas when they shouldn't be fighting

after rounds and rounds of fighting your brain becomes weaker and weaker can no longer take punishment and results in injury or death. There has to be more preventative medical testing involved in the sport of boxing.
