Comments Thread For: Mayweather on The Khan Rumors, Picking Next Foe

There is an increasing buzz in the boxing community that Floyd Mayweather may end up facing British star Amir Khan this coming May 3 in Las Vegas.

Following his unanimous decision victory over Saul Alvarez in September, Mayweather has largely stayed mum on who he would prefer to meet in his next ring endeavor.

On Friday night, I shared a few words with the sport’s reigning pound for pound king inside of the Little Creek Resort in Shelton, Wash. following a Mayweather Promotions show that featured a bevy of Mayweather’s fighters in action.

    Here is the video

So now he is basically saying its up to his team? so he is like Pacman now just fighting whoever his promoter tells him? What happened to being your own boss.

Well if Floyd said he calls champions guys who get knocked out and can get back up and fight again than why not fight Manny Pacquiao?

Because manny and his team, after claiming they wanted to fight floyd next, announced they were returning April 12th when they knew floyd had an open date and no opponent for May 5th.

Almost Every rational human being in every sports/boxing ralted site/forum/newscast/etc realized this means Bob and manny weren't serious about fighting floyd. The ones who think otherwise-Ronnie N. and the fringe pac fans like yourself.

Umm what? I could have sworn Floyd fans mentioning all the time that "Floyd is his own man. He's his own boss" blah blah blah

Now he's pulling the old Manny Pacman card and saying he doesn't know who he fights, leaves it up to his team LOL

If he's the guy my team picks, there's nothing I can do but fight him... If it's Pacquiao though, I am my own boss, I am not thinking about boxing right now.

Yeah, the floyd fanboys kept making fun of Pacman saying he leaves it to his promoter, yet Floyd is here saying he will fight whoever his management tells him too basically.

I thought this dude was his own boss.

Floyd has to be that way now. People need to realise that he has a $250,000,000 contract that he has to make good on. He is likely leaving it to his team to come up with good fights that will bring in money and make Showtime happy. Also, this always happens. Floyd always has rumors going around about who he is going to fight next, just to switch it up on us when he actually makes the announcement.

While Pacman gets knocked out and schools Rios, its not good enough he has to knock out bradley and Marquez first, how come Khan doesn't have to rematch prescott or Garcia first before he fights Floyd?
