What is it with Boxingscene and their support of even more titles within the sport? WBU/IBO titles don't deserve the same credit. It's not a credibility thing, it's just theres way too many.

On a rather contradictory side-note, I bet a rogue WBC V or rogue WBA V would be less corrupt than the WBC/WBA.

In what way is the WBA more legitimate than the IBO?

The WBA are recognised by nearly every national commission, both Hall of Fames, and by other major bodies as a legitimate world title. The IBO are minor, recognised by...Boxingscene?

The WBA are awful but if we start recognising others, it won't stop. It's impossible to regulate all this crap without having some monopoly style system like MMA or Wrestling.

Better course of action would be to make the current titles more accountable, not adding more and more titles, especially as the IBO has a reputation of its own

I'm ok with the current 4 world titles. could definitely do without the super/diamond/supreme champions though. it's funny, i remember reading somewhere that the IBO are pushing to be recognized as a legit world title

The WBA has up to four titles per division. The IBO has one title per division. But basically boxing fans are incapable of recognising that the established bodies are the problem, not newer ones that actually want to act in the interests of the sport.

I'm going to make my own commission and see if I can't get any fighters fighting for it
