Zulina Muñoz successfully retained her WBC super flyweight title for the fourth time over Argentine Marisa Portillo in a chilly Toluca, Mexico. Muñoz landed great combinations on her challenger, causing hurt and Marisa resorted to a clinchfest, trying to avoid more of the same. So after warnings, she was docked a point in the sixth and then seventh round. Referee Curtis Trasher then decided to stop the fight after the insistence of Portillo to keep clinching.
