Comments Thread For: Manny Pacquiao Brilliant In Shutout Of Brandon Rios

Manny Pacquiao returned to the win column for the first time in more than two years, but the jury is still out on whether or not he can ever return to past form and acclaim.

Things went as advertised for the Filipino superstar, who dished out 12 rounds of punishment against a willing opponent in Brandon Rios. The end result was a landslide unanimous decision win in their HBO PPV headliner Saturday evening in Macau, China (Sunday afternoon local time).

Scores were 120-108, 119-109 and 118-110 in favor of Pacquiao. No knockdowns were scored, though certainly not for a lack of trying. [Click Here To Read More]

Now what rounds did Rios supposedly win according to two of the judges?

Brilliant ? Hardly. He fought a slow and plodding punching bag. A guy that fought mainly at 135 and only fought 2 fights at 140 which by the way he lost his last fight. He couldn't even put Rios down on the canvas? He should of stopped Rios within 6 rounds. They better not even mention Mayweathers name.

I wouldn't call his performance brilliant, or even close to good. Rios is a straight up bum, he always has been. Hes slow, plodding, and incapable of adapting.

Pacquio got hit with way to many clean shots. This was a guy put infront of Pacquio to knock out, and instead he get involved in a tough fight.

Masterful performance by Manny. Just as I suspected, this fight IMO resembled the MargaCheato beatdown. The question now is: Does Pacman want his a** kicked by Floyd now? Or does he want it later?

I think Marquez KO's again. I want Pac to take one more big money fight; maybe Bradley. And then call it off. It's time.

He is hesitant now. JMM scared him with the right bomb.
