Comments Thread For: Roach Sells PPVs: Brandon Rios is a Journeyman at Best

Trainer Freddie Roach often rips down Manny Pacquiao's opponents in the weeks leading up to a fight, but his latest rant on Brandon Rios is not going to encourage fans to grab their wallets and purchase Saturday's HBO Pay-Per-View event from Macau, China. Roach has already stated that he doesn't see any possibility of Rios being capable of lasting beyond the fourth round and now he says Rios is nothing more than a journeyman opponent going up against world class fighter.

Common knowledge. Rios isnt good enough to beat any champ at 140 or 147. He only won a belt at 135 because he was big for the weight. And his last loss was against another journey man.

I like Rios though and will be pulling for him. Im hoping this will be the sequel to "When Cherry Picks Go Wrong"

Hold on a second..... What really is the difference between Rios and Victor Ortiz, Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero (mandatory.... But on PPV) and Canelo "I fought 40 bartenders, 1 semi-decent fighter..... Won a free belt, and suddenly became "The One") ?

If you're going to report like this, be consistent with it.

What's the difference between Roach hyping Rios...... And the networks and Golden Boy hyping Canelo?
