Comments Thread For: Andre Ward Ward Returns To School "La Bomba"

By Luis Sandoval - Andre Ward (27-0, 14KOs) returned after a 14 month layoff and picked up right where he left off as he simply outclassed and dominated a game Edwin Rodriguez (24-1, 16KOs) to pick up a lopsided unanimous decision with scores of 118-106, 117-107 and 116-108.

Even after a long hiatus and recovering from major shoulder surgery, Ward looked like his old self and showed why he’s long been considered one of the best in the sport and in most cases, just one spot behind Floyd Mayweather on the pound for pound rankings. It was obvious Ward’s skill set was levels above Rodriguez and the only thing Ward wasn’t able to do in this fight was knock his opponent out. [Click Here To Read More]

I've never liked the way ref Jack Reiss works & last night wasn't any different, cause it didn't make any sense to take the same amount of points from each fighter at the same time cause the scoring will stay the same & to immediately fine the fighters without a warning doesn't do it either. Ironically there were times before & after that incident that he could have gave both fighters enough warnings to start deducting points(Rodriguez for constantly hitting behind the head & Ward for low blows) & yet he didn't really do anything about that..

They should have Rodriguez fight Chavez jr, this way they won't have to worry about a weight class(that will be decided at the weigh in depending on how much they weigh) & it will make a good interesting fight..

It's criminal how nobody gives a flying fuck about Ward and his fights ... He's begging Froch for a rematch where it should be the complete opposite. Anyway, move up Ward.

Andre is unbeatable in his division, time to conquer the next one! It's really hard to see a Gold medalist losing, they are just so technically disciplined.

Ward is the best in the world now

Ward might be the best fighter in the World including Floyd right now. Age-reflexes-skills-defense-punching prowess-ring generalship-freshness. Andre has it all. Floyd is number two.

WARD fought so good, damn those left hooks and jabs were mourderous;FROCH avoided ADONIS so he moved up to beat DAWSON and CLOUD,i asked myself what a great fight we could have watched after ADONIS would have beat easy FROCH between WARD and ADONIS,can you imagine???
Everybody continue to say GGG but the Kazakistan doesn't move up when he has a big pay day with MARTINEZ and others world champions in middleweight division;my hope is still WARD vs STEVENSON!!!
