Yeah, I think they're more bandwagon fans than fairweather fans, hopping on the latest next big thing and hopping off if they lose (irrespective of nationality).

There are at least 8-10 more prominent sports than boxing in America. When people say boxing is dead in America, they're usually referring to its lack of commercial popularity. I don't think it makes Americans worse fans than others; it just means we have better **** to watch than boxing.
Generalizations don't really apply to Americans, since the country is large and segmented. Each major region is much different than the others (West, East, South, Midwest). I'd say Americans in the South are much more loyal/patriotic than any other fans in the world (especially for college football and nascar) or at least near the top. (Southerners still wear/support Confederate regalia lol.)
But I wouldn't expect brits to know that.Comment
