As it should be without weight classes because life isn't fair and right now no one can stop the hugging clench machine his grappling makes Wlad the best boxer in the world.

Prime Tua would be an ATG if he was around in the 30s or 40s.

a prime liston was a beast,, he won the belt later in his career when he was past prime and everyone remembers that version of liston, but the liston from a few years before he won the belt was a monster

When Liston won the title he must have been close to 40. Nobody really knew how old he was and he gave several different dates at different times. There were no real records not even complete county records. He was one of a family of (I think a couple of families joined together) about 25 kids, all illiterate.

I read an on the spot interview, really a research project in the making, of one of his sisters. She was born, as near as could be made out, not after 1925, and she said that Sonny was already running around and older than her, when she became aware.

For various reasons they put down a date of 1932, but if it were 1924 it would not have been out-of-line.

There were always questions about Liston's elderly appearance even before he won the title.
