OXNARD, CA – It will be a busy next few months for two-time world jr. middleweight champion Fernando Vargas. On February 25 Vargas will challenge three-time world champion Shane Mosley in a mega pay-per-view showdown at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, NV. The bout will feature two of the sport’s biggest stars in a 12 round battle. Just a few months later “Alpha Dog”—the Nick Cassevetes film in which Vargas makes his cinematic debut—hits theaters. The film closed the 2006 Sundance Film Festival, and if the response at the festival is an indication of how moviegoers will respond to the film, Cassevetes has a hit on his hands. [details]
