Comments Thread For: BoxNation to be floated on Alternative Investment Market

City A.M., www.cityam.com, and The Sunday Times have reported that Nation Media, the parent company of BoxNation, is set to be a listed on the London Stock Exchange's Alternative Investment Market (AIM) — also known as the Junior Stock Market and an option for new, growing businesses that have never traded — in a move that could raise £5,000,000 for the U.K.'s only dedicated boxing channel. Nation Media is run by Richard Brooke, who has experience of floating companies — he was the finance director at BSkyB when they made the move — and, according to yesterday's The Sunday Times, the company could be valued at £20,000,000 when it is listed.

excellent for boxing in the long run....more public awareness and access to additional financing........as long as the company's insiders dont try to cash in too quickly and effect the structure....Good deal

        Hmmmm....

I don't think they'll get as big an investment as they want unless its from an overseas entertainment company.

Warren has an awful reputation with having bankrupt company after bankrupt company, it's hard to see what reliable investors would want to get involved with that, couple this with all his of legal disputes and poor depth in talent I think this could bomb.

BTSport are said to be out-bidding Sky for the rights to show various sports. It will be interesting to see if they look at boxing.

Wish it would come to Australia instead of every Showtime and Hbo card being on PPV.

They should try launching Boxnation abroad I think it would do much better.
