seriously, if it was broner who got put on his ass, this forum would be flooded with threads about him being a glass chinned bum. thats a fact. i never said mikey was crap. i really expected an easy win from him. martinez is a decent title holder, but thats it. i was surprised by the knockdown honestly, its not as if i was nitpicking. it happened and to me, it exposes mikeys huge flaw. he takes a while to get started. i dont think its a stretch to say that opening round knockdowns are gonna be something he experiences in the future unless that changes. with that said, yes he weathered the storm and came back strong. but lets not mince words here, if that was broner, all hell would break loose.

Mikey got knocked down in his 1st fight at 130 against a top level opponent. He got right up and went on to win by KO. hat is a good thing, not a bad thing.

pauli was the weakest champ in all of boxing, he got a gift vs cano,, just because the broner-pauli fight was close doesnt mean it was a good win for broner,, lucas, danny, tim, jmm, manny,khan, floyd, maidana, alexander, ghost would have all destroyed pauli,,, hell ricky hatton would have steamrolled him again

Demarco was a good solid win on par with garcia's rocky win

ponce fight broner struggled badly in,, no doubt, not a great performance,
juanma destroyed ponce in 1, and broner going life and death with him

garcia dominated salido and juanma, and rocky,, he was in control of all those fights, and none were close, even though salido was trying to rally when it was stopped,,,

lol, u can look through my posts and see if i criticized mikey about it or if im a mikey fan. i am. very much so. but i have always criticized his knack for starting early. its almost like he needs to be waken up before he gets serious. and its very much in line with his attitude about boxing, basically how its easy mode for him until its not. im not hating, im pointing something out that more than a few have noticed. ppl honestly make it seem like im calling him a bum. whats wrong with this site?

while I think mikey desreves to be in ahead of broner-going to 135 and 147 and winning is not nothing. and Juanma is such an overrated piece of **** it isn't funny. but my boy mikey didn't make weight for the juanma fight either.

and i agree with this and i think it all has to do with pedigree. mikey just has it, it wss handed down to him and from what ive seen of the family and its' many fighters, blood relation or otherwise, he is the perfect combination of what they wanted to instill in a fighter. but part of me feels like mikey is an underachiver. like he likes to wait until his back is against the wall and his ass is on fire, otherwise it wouldnt be fun, itd be too easy. im pretty sure thats what it is. his personality and comments suggest it. and in the ring it makes sense the way he toys with guys. mikey is a prodigy tho, hes a complete boxer.

i forgot about the not making weight,, still broner didnt do it vs escobido so i guess they are even in that department,,,
Juanma is damaged goods from those salido fights, but mikey cant help that,,,
in 2012 juanma and salido were considered the top 2 feathers, and in 2013 mikey handled them like a boss should,,
And broner going from 135-147 is nothing when your fighting a washed up aging fighter with zero power, who just got beatdown by a journeymen and got a gift decision,,, pauli and burns are the 2 worst champs in the sport,, going up in weight vs pauli is not the same as going up to welter and tangling with say bradley, ghost, ortiz, alexander, maidana, etc
