Comments Thread For: Mikey Garcia Feels Martinez is Being Underestimated

Undefeated super featherweight contender Miguel Angel "Mikey" Garcia is not being swayed by the big underdog tag being placed on WBO champion Roman "Rocky Martinez, who Garcia will challenge on November 9th at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. Garcia, with a record of 32-0 and 27 knockouts, is moving up to the 130-pound limit. On the other side, Martinez (27-1-2, 16 KO) comes in with only one defeat on his ledger, which came at the hands of current lightweight champion Ricky Burns.

Nah, Rocky is really not that good. He will be disposed of worse than Juanma was. Easy title for Mikey on Saturday.

Worse than Juanma? Unlikely. But I expect him to be utterly outclassed.

He is certainly not worse than the shotter than shot Juanma Mikey fought. He is a good, solid fighter with a decent resume. He had some close ones going his way, but none of them was an outright robbery. That said, I expect him to fall well short against an elite talent like Mikey.
