Comments Thread For: Broner: Maidana is One-Dimensional, Not in My League!

SAN ANTONIO - WBA Welterweight Champion Adrien "The Problem" Broner and former WBA Junior Welterweight Champion Marcos "El Chino" Maidana are no strangers to facing the most feared competitors in the sport of boxing. On Saturday, Dec. 14, in a SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING® mega-bout to air live from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, the bold and brash Broner and the punching powerhouse Maidana will enter the DANGER ZONE like never before, with "The Problem" defending his title against the Argentine knockout artist determined to wrap championship gold around his waist once again.

Who will emerge from the DANGER ZONE unscathed? Will it be the fast and precise Broner or the aggressive and powerful Maidana? The world will find out on Dec. 14.

"Maidana is one-dimensional and not in my league," said Broner. "I'm a Ferrari and he's a go-kart and my fans will see that in my return to Texas. It's been over four years since I've fought there and I'm going to put on a show. Watch me light Maidana up like a Christmas tree on Dec. 14." [Click Here To Read More]

Broner is right when he says that maidana is one dimensional, but so is broner,,,, different fighting styles but both basically have one-mode of fighting,,,,

I do think broner will beat maidana,, but he is nowhere near the level of a floyd or other p4p elite guys.

I think Broner puts on a great performance here. Maidana has shown his best, Broner hasn't, I blieve Broner can get much better and I think this is the fight where that happens.

This truly fight will elevate Broner and put him on the cusp of superstardom.

Only the best can beat Maidana. And he's looked better and better since being trained by Robert Garcia.

This is going to be a great fight.

Win or Lose Broner will walk out of that ring with a healthy respect for Maidana..Marco's has been working on his footwork these past two years he's much improved since his Khan performance...don't sleep on the kid. He doesn't rely as much on his power as Matthysse and that's all people keep counting on. Broner has gotten some scorecard saviors in his career against lesser fighters than Maidana..both men are with Al Haymon so he can't count on the scorecards saving him if he fcks up this time.

i think Maidana is one dimensional for the most part, but i believe Garcia is helping to make him become a better rounded fighter. AB SHOULD win, BUT i want to see how he reacts if/when Maidana lands a hard flush punch to his face.....then we'll see what broners made of. I think Maidana needs to work the jab A LOT and throw a lot body shots too
