Comments Thread For: Murat Predicts He'll Retire Hopkins In Atlantic City

Karo Murat’s resume is short on noteworthy wins and the odds of him upsetting Bernard Hopkins are quit long.

Nevertheless, Germany’s Murat came to United States completely confident that he’ll win their 12-round fight for Hopkins’ IBF light heavyweight title Saturday night at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City (Showtime; 9 p.m. ET/PT). Hopkins’ mandatory challenger went as far as to say he’ll send the 48-year-old Hopkins into retirement in the same city Hopkins’ career began in October 1988, when Murat was 5 years old.

Fighting dirty would play into Hopkins hands and he'd maul Murat like a mofo.
Murat has to remind B Hop how old he is by using speed and quickness and have him chasing him. He'll tire like JMM did vs Bradley.48 is still 48.Too old to be still boxing.

Murat, whose lone loss was a controversial 10th-round TKO defeat to Wales' Nathan Cleverly in September 2010
Controversial? Fuck off. All Murat did in that fight was stand in one spot defensively like Abraham, and Clev beat the shit out of him. Perfectly legit stoppage.

plain and simple, murat is mediocre

yes he is. Doesn't have a punching power, no speed, no leg movements, no nothing that a legit boxer needs. Hopkins by 10 rnd ko.
