Comments Thread For: Hatton: No Mismatch, Khan Can Trouble Mayweather

Hatton is just saying Khan has some of the skills it would take to beat Floyd not that he can. Hatton gave good insights into how to do it, even acknowledged his own type of pressure won't work

You all may ask why? or tag me as delusional with coments like "How that loud mouth glassed-jaw british boxers could even win one round against Mayweather? Well, with smart speed, reach and footwork.
I know you all gonna dismiss my previous statement, but when was the last time Floyd fought someone as fast as him with a solid jab, who knows how to box going backwards? Answer: Never! Zab Judah could match Floyd's speed, but his former style made him live and die in the pocket, and once Floyd figure him out he had nothing else to fire with. Pre-Trinidad Oscar de la Hoya may have been capable of beating the best version of Floyd. Sadly, Trinidad's fight changed his boxing approach forever. Mosley's enhance juiced speed would have give FLoyd trouble but his lack of great boxing footwork would have left him to expose to FLoyd's Boxing IQ. So, what other boxer not name Juan Manuel Marquez or Miguel Cotto knows how to box backwards? No one.
Lets analyze Amir khan for a second: He has amazing footwork with incredible hands speed. He learned how to box in/out and how to use his gifts to his advantage. The problem with him is that he get too self-absorbed every time he fights someone he believes doesn't have the skills to compete. In a humbly ****y way he tends to diminish his opponents' skillset and give into the opponent's strenghts ignoring the dangers of the sweet science. But, what if Amir Khan is finally faced with an opponent he mentally recognizes as superior? Will he put his mind in reinforcing what should be call "The Game Plan"? Or will he be the same Idiot with all know?
If Amir Khan effectively uses his in/out speed against the shoulder roll it will force Floyd to come out of his defensive shell to counter Amir's speed with precision speed. Its then that Amir Khan needs to employ that back peddling boxing IQ. If Amir manage to mentally avoid exchanging with Floyd in the middle of the ring it would put Floyd in a position he has never feel comfortable with, even thou he has the skills to cope with it. Amir will neeed to perform the greatest boxing dance of his life (A la Ray Leonrad) to end outpointing Floyd, who has never show the need to go Dark (Pressure fighting) in his fights.
Ironically, if this match ever comes true I will be 100% cheering for Floyd. I truly despise the idea of Amir Khan beating Floyd Mayweather for the first time. Can you imagine how much delusional press speeches he will give?
My thing is, if Khan can't beat guys like Garcia or Peterson how in the world could he stand a chance against Mayweather? Styles make fights I know but Mayweather has the better style. he would get out classed. Why can't Khan go and fight someone for a title and than fight Mayweather? at least it would be somewhat justified. The reason he can't do that is because he might loose.

Hatton is right, in theory. Floyd almost always gets himself ahead by the mid way point then has fighters hunting him down, which is a dream for him. It would be interesting to see if someone could turn the tables and have Floyd chasing them.
Easier said than done of course, and Khan hasn't got the discipline or the chin to do it.

Ridiculous
Again totally ridiculous ,
No one out there including Mayweather should waste any more time on this.. as I'm sure Khan is no more than a smoke screen for someone like Garica.
Mayweather himself the great 'money man' couldn't sell such a farce.
How would he start? ..never fought at welter, hence no real ranking, pulled away from a much lesser challenge in Alexander,****ie chin, dropped by a career long lightweight and all over last time out,he wouldn't have a chance with Garica let alone Floyd com'on behave here.
Like i've said before Khan needs to beat at least 'someone' and not just sit there waiting for a handout! he's always so critical when he thinks he see's others doing this!
Fight your way up the queue !!...we all know that route can not be...Again totally ridiculous.

All Khan needs now is for ODH to give him the "real'' blueprint and not the fake one he's been doling out to these other bums.

I am sure he would loose that fight, but at least it would be better and more competitive than him fighting Mayweather.
