The World Boxing Association (WBA) flyweight champion Juan Carlos "Coton" Reveco (32-1, 17KOs), prevailed over former world championship challenger Ricardo "The Mathematician" Nunez (26-4, 22KOs) of Panama with an eight round technical decision after eight rounds in San Martin, Mendoza, Argentina. Reveco was winning the fight wide and outboxing Nunez, but a clash of heads in the eight opened up a bad cut on right eyelid of the champion and the fight was stopped by the ringside physician.
