Comments Thread For: Leo Santa Cruz-Cesar Seda Close For December 14

A potential deal for Cristian Mijares to face WBC super bantamweight champion Leo Santa Cruz (25-0-1, 15 KO's) on November 2 has fallen through. Golden Boy Promotions had been trying to make the deal with Mijares and his team but there were several snags in the negotiations.

A deal is now close for Santa Cruz to defend his title against hard-hitting Cesar Seda (25-1, 17 KO's) on December 14 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight would be part of the Showtime Pay-Per-View, with Marcos "Chino" Maidana (34-3, 31 KO's) challenging Adrian Broner (27-0, 22 KO's) for the WBA welterweight title in the main event.

I like the Cruz/Seda fight. Unbeaten vs once beaten. Should be a solid fight!

Thurman vs soto Karass. Santa Cruz vs ceda are ok fights. But was hoping we would get some bigger fights for the dec 14th ppv Oh well I plan on streaming the card. Why not khan vs Ortiz or Thurman vs the ghost to match up with the main event. The card so far isn't worth the sixty dollar price tag it well prolly be

Khan might be fighting mayweather, ortiz might not even be fighting this year, and I think guerrero turned down the thurman fight.

id rather see soto karass than guerrero, guerrero sometimes holds too much,we know karass won't do that, therefore giving us fans a better fight,
