Comments Thread For: Bryant Jennings Inks Promotional With Gary Shaw

Philadelphia's undefeated heavyweight contender, Bryant Jennings (17-0, 9 KOs) has signed a co-promotional contract with Gary Shaw Productions and Antonio Leonard Promotions. Advised by manager James Prince, Jennings on the verge of fighting for a world title, is ranked IBF No. 3, WBO No. 14 and WBC No. 21.

Having fought stiff competition thus far in his career, Jennings is the type of battle tested warrior America is seeking to represent the heavyweight division on a global stage. With a powerful team behind him, Jennings feels he's ready to take his career to the next level.

"I'm glad I'm finally moving forward in my career with a great team," said Bryant Jennings. "Gary Shaw and Antonio Leonard are two great promoters who have been in this sport for many years and have promoted some of the biggest fights in boxing history. I'm ecstatic to be managed by James Prince because he's guided the careers of many world champions and his knowledge as a boxing manager is impeccable. It's truly a blessing to have these experienced gentlemen working on my behalf. I'm ready to take my career to the next level."

What happened with Main Events? Jennings is my favorite out of all the American HW's besides Thompson but he needs to work on some things and take some more fights against ranked guys before he fights Wlad... From what I remember I think i could of saw him possibly losing his last fight if fight would of went on and wouldn't of stopped from the cut

After having a breakout year in 2012, Jennings hasn't done jack **** this year to further his career. He desperately needs to get back into the ring against a meaningful opponent

Yeah, I agree. Jennings looked at his best when he was keeping busy and fighting several times a year.

He needs to get back to doing that again so that he can be sharp before going into a big fight.

Good move for By By though, regardless of how often he has been fighting. More often than not the amount of fights a guy gets per year isn't dictated by the fighter, it's by his management and promotional team.

Jennings has been hard at work in the gym, doing the right things, and making business moves to further his career in the long run. Hopefully with this new team behind him he will be able to become more active, it just all depends on the amount they are willing to invest in him, which could be good for him considering he is one of the only worthwhile HW's in the USA.

Jennings is pretty crude in alot of aspects, and he needs some time to sharpen up as others have said, but he has the right mentality and drive to accomplish just that. All he can do is stay in the gym, stay in amazing shape, and listen to his trainers. Once they put guys in front of him, take them out, everything will fall together. He needs to sharpen up a bit, but he is making the right moves.
