Undefeated Yesica Marcos (21-0, 7KOs) has been stripped of the WBO super bantamweight title. She last defended the belt in January with a twelve round draw against Marcela Acuna. The WBO has stated that Marcos has been inactive and has not given them any satsifactory reason for the inactivity or revealed her plans on when she plans to defend the belt. Marcos also hold the WBA's version of the super bantamweight crown. The WBO has not indicated what boxers will clash for the vacant championship.

it's probably cuz the women earn less for their fights than men. so the sanctioning bodies need them to actually fight at least twice a year to make the amount of money they want.

im making this all up of course but it wouldnt surprise me if it were true.
