Former world champion Ricardo Mayorga (29-8-1, 23KOs in boxing, 0-1, 1NC in MMA) is planning to continue his run in Mixed Martial Arts on October 12th in San José, Costa Rica. Mayorga is scheduled to face Costa Rican Sergio "Checo" Ortiz, who is 1-1 since making his MMA debut in May of this year.
This past July, Mayorga had his second fight as a Mixed Martial Artist and he was swiftly disposed of by Rene "Level" Martinez (5-0) in less than two minutes of the first round.
