Comments Thread For: Floyd Sr. Sizes Up Garcia, Golovkin For Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather once again reminded the boxing world that he is the game’s premier performer by thoroughly outclassing Mexican superstar Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez this past weekend in Las Vegas.

Inside of a sold-out MGM Grand Garden Arena, Mayweather seemed to effortlessly control the action against his 23-year old foe over the course of twelve rounds. Mayweather did as he pleased on both the offensive and defensive ends before walking out of the building with a majority decision nod as well as his 45th professional victory in as many fights.

There was no one with a better view of the action as Mayweather’s father and trainer Floyd Sr.

Shortly after his son’s triumph, Floyd Sr. shared his thoughts on his performance as well as some of his dismay towards the 114-114 scorecard issued by judge C.J. Ross. [Click Here To Read More]

Floyd sr. answer is responsible and sensible, but hopefully its not the direction floyd jr chooses. Floyd sr. seems to always be overprotective of floyd, like its gonna make up for the ****t he did when floyd was younger.

Hopefully floyd jr. frames the dicsussion in terms of being lineal in 3 weight classes and what that would ean historically. I think floyd, given the big number he and canelo did, can use his influence (maybe even the "out clause" reportedly in his contract) to get sho/HBO to work together to make this happen.

Mayweather vs Sergio Martinez would be awesome at 154

That would be a very good fight, Sergio deserves to fight Mayweather, he already paid his dues.

If Floyd doesn't fight GGG, its completely fine. Why dont we ask GGG to move up instead?

Size, weight, power, simply too much.

i mean, what happens if he somehow survives? Ward? a Klitchsko?

If Floyd is gonna lose, it should be the right way, not like this.

If he fights Garcia make it at 140 so he can go for that lineal title there

I don't expect Floyd to fight any higher than 154 the guy came to the weigh in last Friday at 150 he needs to stay around 147-154 but theres limited competition for him in those weight classes I'm really wondering who they will choose for his next fight to sell the PPV

Floyd couldn't make 144 for Marquez. No way that is going to happen.

May Sr is full of greasy BS

His son Money May JR the AWESOME WONDERFUL FANTASTIC greatest fighter on Earth can easily take on and WHUP, skin up and Warm up the head of GGG.

                    They should fight !!!!!

GGG should first fight Sergio the great and Knock him out

then JR and GGG for all the glory

                    Skills pays the BILLS
